THE STORY

Jonathan Arena is passionate about the transformative power of the design process. As the design lead at the San Francisco consultancy Central, he was responsible for creative directing both internal and external projects ranging from web, print, interaction, systems thinking, rapid prototyping, design research and multimedia work. It is through this methodology, of interdisciplinary thinking, that provides a foundation for writing on design for the AIGA's center for cross cultural design. Prior to joining Central, Jonathan was a part of the communication and interaction design team at Eight, Inc, where he led the UI/UX development for touch screen technology for Citibank Japan. Jonathan holds a bachelor of Art in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he received award recognition for his collaborative thesis work. Jonathan is also a member of the inaugural 2+2 class at the Harvard Business School. As a proponent of academic philanthropy, he volunteers his time to serve as a creative director for the "Design for Social Innovation" class at Musashino Art University in Tokyo.

존아산은 그래픽 디자이너 겸 하버드 비즈니스 스쿨의 2+2 프로그램의 일원으로서 무엇보다 디자인 프로세스를 통한 변화의 힘에 대한 큰 관심을 갖고 있습니다. 존은 현재 동경의 무사이노 미술 대학 '사회의 혁신적인 디자인' 수업의 크리에티브 디렉터로 활동하고 있으며, 미국 그래픽 협회 (AIGA) 회원으로서 문화 영역을 중심으로서 디자인에 대해 글을 쓰고 있습니다. 2009년부터 2011년까지, 샌프란시스코에 있는 센트럴 컨설팅 (Central) 회사에서 디자인 디랙터로서 웹, 그래픽, 인터렉션, 시스템, 프로토타이핑, 디자인 리서치, 멀티미디어 등 다방면의 프로젝트를 수행해 왔습니다. 센트럴에 입사하기 전에는 에이트 (Eight Inc.) 의 커뮤니케이션과 인터렉션 디자인 팀원으로서 일본 시티뱅크의 터치스크린 UI/UX 개발 프로젝트를 리드했습니다. 2009년에는 로드 아일랜드 디자인 대학교에서 공동 학위 논문에 대한 표창으로 상을 받으며 그래픽 디자인 전공을 수료했습니다.
